One problem that makes tumblr so terrible is that there's no reasonable way to limit who can see your posts. You can make your whole blog password-protected, which is dumb if you want to like, ever show off any art, and you can make individual posts private, but then you have to manually give the link to everyone you do want to show it to, and it's just terrible to have "almost completely private" and "public to everyone" with nothing in between. I like how here, you can make a post so only perople you trust can see it, like, not even all followers, because you don't have to put everyone on your access list.

ohhh mood. i don't even post original content there anymore because there's always the possibility of a post blowing up beyond my control and whew that's terrifying. and then ofc you can't delete a post and have it gone forever if people reblogged it :/

Ugh yep. I even get slightly uncomfortable when people find and reblog my years-old WOY posts, and those are mostly just cute photosets and headcanons!

This was why I never liked Tumblr even before it became... well. Tumblr. The idea that anything of yours can get passed around so easily and taken out of context because you have no control and you can't even comment properly... brrr.
