I would really love to use AO3 as a place to post my stuff... problem is... it's for written stories and that's not what I do.  There needs to be a visual art equivalent.

No. Somewhere that values creative freedom and doesn't treat its users like a product to suck money out of, or slap disruptive and potentially virused ads at everyone without an ad blocker.

I suppose Inkbunny would be the closest thing, and I have been toying with joining that if I can ever make a decision about a username, but it would be nice if there was also something not furry-specific (not that I draw a whole lot that isn't furries anyway).

I didn't know about the ad problem on DA but the push to make money does put me off a little, unless there are really good incentives to make it worth it.

To be fair you can post images to AO3 as long as they're hosted elsewhere. But it's true that it's not built for it.

(I don't like DA much either. It ate a lot of the smaller art archives going around when it came out.)
